This hair once adorned the brow of Cowper [realia]. 1731-1800.

A lock of William Cowper's hair arranged in a circle (ca. 70 mm in diameter) and sewn to a piece of paper. A note in an unknown hand circles the lock of hair, reading: "This hair once adorned the brow of Cowper." Cowper's initials "WC" have been penned within the circle of hair.
